From the tech-savie to music and movie lovers, there is something for everyone at South by Southwest. Jimmy Kimmel started his week of shows Monday at the Long Center, and we got to catch up with him before the taping of his first show.

Kimmel and his cast of characters will be showing you what South by Southwest and Austin have to offer all week long. His set is ready, filled with neon signs and Texas flavor.

Kimmel arrived in Texas several days ago and says he's been having fun.

"I've been doing all of it. I've been eating, drinking. It's remarkable, everywhere you go, they hand you a beer here. It's not something we're used to, it's kind of strange. I've done way too much eating, I feel like a pi?ata, I really do," Kimmel said.

Speaking of celebrities, we stopped by the premiere of Nicolas Cage's new movie "Joe," which was filmed locally. Plenty of excited fans gathered around to catch a glimpse. He says the SXSW audience is the best.

"They really love movies and care about them and are serious about them. It's always nice to be in a room with that kind audience. I'm looking forward to seeing what the response is; it means a lot because I made the movie here," Cage said.
