The wreck happened on the northbound service road of Highway 59 at Kelly.
Investigators say they don't know how the crash started or who was at fault because the only witnesses are the officer and the person driving the car, and they're both at the hospital.
The officer was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital, and the woman was taken to LBJ Hospital. Neither suffered life-threatening injuries.
Investigators now are going to the hospital to interview the two witnesses.
This is at least the third HPD officer-involved accident in about week.
