According to Houston police, a man appearing to be in his 70s walked into the store at Maxey near Woodforest around noon, didnt' say anything to anyone, then fired six shots into the ceiling. Nine people were in the store at the time. They all ran for cover.
A witness called 911 and police quickly arrived. They were able to coax the gun away from the suspect. No one was hurt and the suspect was taken into custody.
At this point, his motive isn't clear.
