Pit bulls fatally shot after charging at New York police officers

NEW YORK

ABC7 New York reports that the dogs -- described as pit bulls -- charged the officers as they executed an arrest warrant in Cambria Heights early Monday.

The officers reportedly fired their weapons in self-defense, killing the animals.

According to ABC7, the officers were not injured, and three people were arrested.
