Family, friends hold vigil for teen found in Houston Ship Channel

HOUSTON

A dive team recovered the body of 17-year-old Antonio Saldivar Thursday. The teen had been missing since Valentine's Day. His wrecked car was later found near the ship channel.

Investigators are now trying to figure out what caused Saldivar's death.

His family, longing for answers, held the vigil. They lit candles, wore purple shirts and released purple balloons in honor of the teenager. They said it was his favorite color.

"It's going to be hard everyday because he's not here anymore, but I love him so much. I still love him. Antonio, I know you can hear me, I know you can hear me. I'm never going to stop loving you," his sister, Jessica Perales, said.

There is a barbeque benefit happening Sunday at Stephanie's Ice House. They are selling plates of food to help raise money for the funeral expenses.
