The Houston music scene has lost a member of a longtime local band. Rozzano Zamorano, the bass player of the Fondue Monks, has passed away.

One of Zamorano's brothers tells Eyewitness News Zamorano died of natural causes at his home last week.

Zamorano, his drummer brother Ronnie, singer Denver Courtney and guitar player Steve Olson founded the Fondue Monks in 1991. The group was known for playing a style of music they called Texas Funk and played lots of shows every year around the Houston and Texas.

The Zamorano brothers just recently celebrated their birthdays at Dan Electro's Guitar Bar. The band often played shows at Dan Electro's and helped us put together a great profile of the venue a few years ago.

Zamorano's funeral services will be held Saturday at BridgePoint Bible Church with a reception to follow at Dan Electro's.
