The family installed a surveillance camera in the bedroom after a wallet and money went missing on February 1. The burglar was caught on video Feb. 19. The burglar can be seen emptying the man's pants pockets.
The family did not want to reveal their identity or address.
"We want our neighbors to know that there's a person out there that's breaking in homes. It's not safe. You might get hurt. Who knows if my parents woke up in the middle of the night what could have happened. We live in terror and we don't want our neighbors to face something similar," said one family member.
The family is reminding neighbors to set their alarm systems, lock their doors and be vigilant.
An investigation is ongoing. Anyone who recognizes the burglar is asked to call Pasadena police.
