Gilbert Lopez, 10, told his mother that his entire class had to eat lunch in their room to finish an important assignment. Instead, Lopez threw away his lunch in order to go outside and play.
But he says the teacher brought him back and told him to take the food out of the trash and finish his lunch.
Lopez said he was humiliated.
"It made me feel sad because a lot of people were watching me and they laughed. I felt disgusted," he said.
That teacher has now been placed on administrative leave while the investigation continues.
