Suspects on the run after crime spree in NW Harris County

HOUSTON

Authorities believe it was a total of five armed suspects making the burglary rounds. While two guys hit up one store, three others hit the store next door.

The first robbery happened around 9:30pm at the Lakewood Food Mart at 13739 Cedar Point Dr. There the suspects robbed the clerk and a customer at gunpoint, then shot a man in the parking lot several times. The victim was transported to the hospital. He is expected to survive his wounds.

While deputies were working that scene, they learned that the same suspects hit another convenience store just a few yards away at 13703 Cedar Point Dr. There the store clerk was robbed at gunpoint and no one was seriously injured.

A short time later the same group of suspects robbed the Stop N Fly Food Mart at 15408 Kuykendahl Rd.

The suspects are only described as three to five black male suspects wearing dark clothing and red bandanas. They're traveling in gray/silver Toyota Tundra that was stolen at gunpoint from the 900 block of Northside Dr. on February 14.

Anyone with information about the identity and/or location of these robbery suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477), or submit a tip via iWatchHarrisCounty.
