The accident happened at about 2am. The motorcycle rider was traveling eastbound on the East Freeway near Federal and lost control of the vehicle, hitting a wall. The rider was thrown into the westbound freeway lanes, where several vehicles struck the victim.
All lanes were closed during the investigation, and reopened shortly after 5am. The victim's identity has not been released.
