Several candidates vying for Montgomery Co. judge position

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX

Judge Alan Sadler is retiring after 22 years leading the county.

Three Republicans are flying to bring his seat.

Doris Golemon is Sadler's Chief of Staff and says long-term planning and fiscal responsibility are the keys to solving all of the county issues, which she says include mobility and Public Safety.

Craig Doyal is a county commissioner who says she's experience dealing with transportation issues is what makes him the best candidate. He also says managing the county water is a concern for the coming years and decades in a place with more than a half million residents and growing.

Mark Bosma is the counties infrastructure chief. He says he has the support of tea party groups and several law enforcement groups to see him as the best person to take the county's top job.

There is no Democrat running, so whoever wins the primary will take the judge's seat in January.
