North Houston drive-by shooting leaves man dead

HOUSTON

It happened shortly before 8pm at Ella and Greens Parkway.

Police say the victim was shot as many as 10 times, and they're looking into whether this is a case of road rage or if it may originated from a nearby apartment complex first.

Right now, detectives say they don't know whether the suspect and victim knew each other but this is how they say it happened:

"The complainant was in one lane, and the suspect pulled up next to him and the driver of the Tahoe reached out and shot into the complainant's vehicle several times," HPD Sgt. Myron Dillingham said.

Right now, police are searching for a blue Tahoe or Suburban with chrome rims and tinted windows. It was seen coming out of the Worthington Apartments and heading east on Greens Parkway.

Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS (8477).

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for any information called in to the 713-222-TIPS (8477) or submitted online at www.crime-stoppers.org that leads to the filing of felony charges or arrest of the suspect in this case.
