Five teenagers who investigators believe are behind at least two armed carjackings and a home burglary in northwest Harris County Monday are now in custody.

Deputies were first called to a home in the 7200 block of Battle Hills after a woman said she was carjacked by an armed suspect. That victim said she was loading items in her car in her garage when she was shot by a suspect who drove off with her vehicle.

She was taken to a local hospital and is expected to be OK.

A little later, deputies responded to a burglary in the 6300 block of Bonnie Chase Lane. The homeowner said she was inside her home when she noticed two men breaking in. She said she hid in the closet and called police.

When deputies arrived, they arrested two suspects still inside the house and one outside. Deputies in the area also arrested two other suspects they say were in the vehicle stolen from the woman earlier in the day.

The suspects are identified as Christopher Do, 17, and four minors, ages 14, 15 and 16.
