A 10-year-old girl got a ticket for careless driving after she crashed into a DMV office in Parker, Colorado.

Police say a mother left her 10- and 12-year-old daughters in the car outside the DMV. When she ran inside, the younger girl slipped into the driver's seat.

The car engine was off but the keys were in the ignition, CNN reports.

The girl reportedly put the car into gear and drove it right into the side of the DMV office.

No one was hurt, but there was considerable damage to the building.

The child was cited for careless driving.
