Authorities release sketch of suspect in assault of jogger in Montgomery County

HOUSTON

The incident happened on Saturday, February 1 at around 9am on Robin Lane and Whipporwill Road.

The 27-year-old woman told authorities she was jogging and listening to an iPod when she felt someone grab her by her pony tail and strike her on her face.

The victim said she was then forced down onto the ground, face down, while someone got on top of her. She fought back, was able to roll over onto her back and fight the attacker. She was able to break free and get away.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and treated for her injuries.

The suspect is described as a dark colored male, approximately 6 feet tall and 230 pounds. He has short hair and appeared to have a tattoo or dark marking on the left side of his neck. At the time of the assault, the man was reportedly wearing a blue shirt with "New York" on it and black sweat pants. The suspect had an earring in his right ear.

If you have any information, you're asked to call Montgomery County Crime Stoppers at 800-392-STOP. Crime Stoppers will pay up to a $1,000 cash reward for information leading to an arrest or indictment of a felony crime.
