It happened just before 5am on the 8600 block of Bellaire near Gessner.
According to HPD, a 28-year-old male was crossing the street and was struck by a vehicle. The driver took off.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim hasn't been identified but police say he appears to be Asian.
At this point, there is no description of the vehicle but they believe to be looking for a Toyota based on debris found near the victim.
