Pit bull fatally shot during drug raid in Dickinson

DICKINSON, TX

According to the Galveston County Sheriff's Office, the special crimes unit was executing a search warrant at around 5pm at a home in the 4300 block of 31st Street in Dickinson.

Investigators say the entry team was confronted by two aggressive pit bulls. One of the dogs was fatally shot by deputies. The other retreated back into the home.

Inside the home, Mark Cisneros Perales, 46, was arrested and later charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $30,000.

The surviving dog was picked up by Animal Control.
