Secret shopping can put real money in your pocket

There are several fraudulent sites to be aware of, but there are free apps that are paying its shoppers big time.

Todd Gibbons has been a secret shopper for eight months and has raked in over $12,000. He uses a free app called Gigwalk.

Since its launch in May 2011, Gigwalk said more than 4 million gigs had been been performed by about 400,000 shoppers. On average, they make $10 to $15 an hour. While available gigs vary by location, there are postings for all 50 states, according to Gigwalk.
