Attorneys for Sujatha Guduru say she was traumatized by the deadly shooting of a security guard 12 years ago. She was working in a Houston Walgreens when a robber shot the guard in the back of the head. Her attorney claims witnessing that crime impacted her mental health and she's never recovered.
Guduru allegedly shot and killed her 17-year-old daughter last week before a failed attempt on her own life. She's charged with first degree murder.
