Super Bowl and family fun freebies

HOUSTON

Super Bowl Sunday is loaded with free food opportunities. If pizza is on your menu, then head over to Papa John's and make an order of $15.99 between now and Sunday. When you do, you'll receive a free pizza at a later date!

Over at PizzaHut.com sign up for the "Hut Lovers" email group and receive a free order of cheese breadsticks coupon in your email, and there's no purchase necessary.

Friday is the only day to take advantage of a free firecracker chicken breast at Panda Express. Be sure to print out the coupon here or show it from your mobile device.

On Saturday take the kids ages 5 to 12 over to Home Depot to take part in the free kids workshop. In this month's class, kids will be building a race car. You will need to register online, and all participants get to keep their race car. They also receive a free certificate of achievement, a workshop apron, and a commemorative pin. The workshop is held from 9 a.m. to noon.

Also on Saturday, head over to Discovery Green to get a head start on summer safety with free bicycle helmets for kids. The Justice 4 Children's Foundation will be distributing 425 helmets to children ages 4 to 14 to help prevent traumatic head injuries this year. The hours vary, so check online for the best times for you.

Over at the Lego Store, there will be a free lego build class on Tuesday, Feb. 4. The mini model will begin at 5 p.m. and will continue while supplies last. Children ages 6 to 14 are encouraged to attend.

This is the first weekend in February, so free museums and zoos are on the calendar thanks to Bank of America. Just take your Bank of America credit or debit card to any participating museum and the Houston Zoo to receive free admission. Remember, this only applies to the card holder, but keep in mind that every first Tuesday everyone is free after 2 p.m.
