Michael Strahan responds to Warren Sapp's critical Hall of Fame comments

Sapp was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2013. He has been openly critical of Strahan's candidacy, most recently at Super Bowl Media Day in Newark on Tuesday.

Strahan -- a native of the Houston area -- says he isn't sure why. Sapp says he doesn't think Strahan's resume "stacks up."

"When you really measure it up, he comes up short, except you all are giving it to him," Sapp said.

Strahan says he's not given much thought to Saturday's election, pointing out that he's busy co-hosting his ABC morning talk show, "Live" with Kelly Ripa and Fox Sports' Sunday NFL pregame show.

ESPN reports that, as for his opinion of Sapp, the very first thing Strahan said when asked about his comments Tuesday likely speaks the loudest.

"I'm glad he doesn't have a vote," Strahan said.
