Katy fire chief accused of stealing drugs due in court

Katy Chief Leslie Jordan could lose his job and face jail time if he is convicted of charges.

The Katy fire chief accused of stealing drugs and then trying to cover it up will be in court today.

Chief Leslie Jordan is charged with diversion of a controlled substance and tampering with a governmental record.

Investigators say he stole Valium from one of the Katy fire department's ambulances and then allegedly fabricated a memo to cover it up.

If convicted, Jordan will lose his job and could be looking at jail time.
