Bank 'robber' leaves without loot thanks to teller's bathroom break

SEALY, TX

It happened at the Capital One Bank on S. Meyer. Sealy police say the suspect was waiting in line, but the teller responsible for that area took a bathroom break. A nearby manager called over the drive-through teller to handle the man, whom she believed was a customer.

The man displayed a gun and gave the teller a note asking for $50 and $100 bills. When the teller returned to her station to get the cash, the suspect apparently thought she had left to call authorities, and fled without the loot, police say.

The man is described as a thin white male with acne scars on his cheeks and gray hair. He weighs approximately 175 pounds and stands about six feet tall. He's between 38 and 50 years of age.

He was wearing a gray cap, gray sweatshirt and gray pants with desert, steel toe, military-style boots.

No one was injured in this robbery.
