Suspect wanted for driveway robbery, shooting, sex assault in NW Houston

HOUSTON

Shortly before 8pm Thursday the couple had returned home in the 7900 block of Ellinger Lane and were unloading their vehicle in the garage when they were suddenly approached by a man who demanded their money. Police say the couple was then forced inside their home at gunpoint, where the male resident was shot and the female sexually assaulted. The suspect then fled in the couple's vehicle and abandoned it about 50 feet away from the garage.

The male victim, 35, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. The adult female victim was treated at an area hospital and released.

On Friday afternoon, a couple of good Samaritans showed up to the neighborhood, trying to return some items they say they found possibly belonging to the victims. Homicide detectives asked us not to release details of what was recovered because of the ongoing investigation.

The suspect is described only as a Hispanic male in his 20s, about 6 feet tall and weighing about 170 pounds with a thin build. Police have released a composite sketch hoping that someone will recognize him. Anyone with information about this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
