Former Houston hand surgeon Michael Brown's cars auctioned off

HOUSTON

They were sold Sunday at a second auction of items from Brown's estate.

Seven cars, a van and a trailer were lined up outside the auction house in north Houston.

The embattled former hand surgeon was known for his lavish lifestyle, and the auction brought out some curious buyers.

"Last weekend was my first auction. I think because it was Dr. Brown and we wanted to see what kind of stuff he had, to be honest," attendee Sheila Schreiner said. "I wasn't planning on walking away with an aquamarine ring last weekend so that was kind of cool."

There will be two more auctions on January 19 and 26 to sell guns, furniture, clothes, art and other items.
