A mentally challenged 51-year-old man who was reported missing Friday has been located.

Houston police said Jesus "Chuy" or "Chucho" Lara (last name also listed as Davila, according to Texas EquuSearch) disappeared near the 1200 block of Bunker Hill and Pine Lake Street in northwest Houston.

Officials said Lara is mentally challenged and has the mind of a young child.

Texas EquuSearch, which joined the search for Lara this weekend, reported that he was found early Sunday in far west Harris County.

According to EqquSearch officials, a passerby picked the missing man up somewhere on Fry Road and took him to a hospital in Katy around 1am Sunday. Hospital staff reportedly couldn't understand anything the man was saying, but they recognized him from news reports.

"Jesus has been hospitalized, but is expected to fully recover very soon," Frank Black with EquuSearch said. "We want to thank everyone that tried so hard to locate Jesus. Our prayers were answered."
