Cathy Johnson's eyesight has deteriorated rapidly within the last year and she is almost blind. She has had to close her business, give up her car and move in with friends. Last week, on Christmas night, Johnson heard a loud knock on the door and found a box sitting on the doorstep with her name on it. Inside was more than $400 with a simple note reading, "Merry Christmas, Cathy Johnson." She says she has no idea who left her the gift.
"It came at a time when I really needed it and I just want to thank whoever did this," she said. "It's such a kind gesture and I was really, really touched."
Johnson's friends say they didn't leave the box of cash. She says she will use the money to pay medical bills.
