Firefighters battling SE Houston strip mall fire

The fire damaged the strip center and two adjacent buildings in southeast Houston

Firefighters are busy battling a one-alarm building fire in southeast Houston.

The fire broke out just before 6am. When fire crews arrived at the strip center on Dixie Drive at Allegheny, it was fully involved. The wind pushed the fire onto a two-story structure next to the strip center.

Emergency vehicles are blocking the streets around the burning building. There is no word on any injuries.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
