Businessman goes undercover as homeless to reward generosity

DES MOINES, IA

Rob Taylor says he was waiting in the turn lane in Des Moines when he rolled down his window and gave some change to man begging for help. That man gave him back an envelope that had a $10 bill and a letter that said, "Keep it, spend it, pay it forward, whatever your heart tells you to do."

Turns out that man wasn't homeless he was businessman Jonnie Wright, who was trying to do something nice around the holidays.

"I thought this was also a way to acknowledge those who give and who do so anonymously," Wright said.

Wright gave nearly $1,000 away. Everything he was given was donated to a local mission.
