Marcus Benitez was jailed on aggravated robbery charges. He's accused of attacking 66-year-old Effie Thompson last week.
Thompson told us a man walked out of her garage as she pulled into her driveway. He told her that he was called out to check her home alarm.
She told him she didn't have an alarm and tried to leave. That's when she was attacked.
Neighbors later found Thompson unconscious in her front yard, officials said.
Benitez was being held Monday without bond.
