It happened just after 4pm at Dryersdale Apartments in the 9700 block of Mesa Drive near Tidwell Road.
According to investigators, the man's body was found near a laundry facility with a single gunshot wound to the head.
We're told the victim was a black man in his 20s. Police are still trying to identify him. It's unclear whether he lived in the apartments.
No other details were immediately released.
