It happened on on Dillon Street near Kopman a little before noon. Police say Raymond Gene Lazarine, 62, shot Deborah Lazarine, 63, multiple times. She died at the scene.
Police say Raymond Lazarine called his son to tell him about the shooting. The son drove to the home, convinced his father to hand over the gun and then called police.
Police responded and Lazarine was taken into custody without incident
