Downtown Houston bank robbed by 'Ebenezer Scrooge'

The bank robber was described as a black male in his mid-thirties, approximately 170 pounds with a medium build. He had a goatee. He was wearing dark colored pants, a light colored tee-shirt, and a black knit hat.

The FBI is asking for the public's help to find bank robber they've dubbed the 'Ebenezer Scrooge' bandit. They say he passed through a crowd enjoying a holiday concert both before and after he robbed a downtown Houston bank Wednesday.

It happened a little before noon at the Chase Bank branch at 713 Main Street. The suspect walked through the crowd listening to the concert and straight to the teller window. He handed the teller a note and also verbally demanded cash.

The teller gave the suspect money. He then exited back out through the crowd and was last seen leaving on foot.
