One dead, two injured n wreck in NW Houston

HOUSTON

Witnesses say a pickup truck wasn't going that fast -- about 40 miles per hour -- when the driver lost control.

It happened at a place where there is a curve in the road. The truck swerved and hit a fence, causing it to roll over multiple times, according to eyewitnesses.

HPD confirms one person died at the scene and two others were taken to Ben Taub Hospital. Their conditions have not been released.

All three occupants, according to Houston police, were described as young and possibly in their teens.

The family of the deceased victim was too distraught to talk on camera. Those who saw the crash described how it happened.

"The young man lost control of the vehicle and went airborne and the car flipped two times," said witness Lois Potts. "Two young men, one was ejected. One was able to crawl out. "

"It kept going until it hit the fence," added Jose Gonzales, who also saw the accident. "It just kept rolling until somebody came out of the window."

Police closed that section of Antoine during the investigation.
