A Santa Fe church is thanking those who came to the aid of two missionaries who were injured while overseas.

Ruby Sprayberry and Stephanie Clawson were injured in a car crash in West Africa. They needed to be medically evacuated, but the church did not have the money to get them home.

Word spread through ABC13 and social media, and the church raised $75,000 to pay for the flight.

"Christ is with us, and the people of God have come together and it didn't matter what sign was outside the church door, what denomination," Associate Pastor Bob Sarricchio said. "People from all denominations came together and said, 'we're with you.'"

Sprayberry and Clawson are scheduled to fly home on Tuesday.
