Firefighters found the burned body of a woman on her front porch on South Log Run Circle in The Woodlands last night.
Investigators tell us the 52-year-old woman had just finished dinner with her family when she went outside to smoke. Moments later, her children smelled something burning and they called the fire department.
Crews arrived and put out a small fire on the front of the house. They also found the woman dead in a chair on the front porch. She had been severely burned.
Investigators don't know how the woman caught fire or her exact cause of death.
