Dead man found tied up in home in Fort Bend County

HOUSTON

Detectives describe the scene as bloody. They say Antonio Cesear Hinojosa, 32, was bound and murdered.

They got the call to the home in Townewest at about 9:20am Wednesday. Hinojosa's brother made that call after apparently discovering the victim dead. Investigators say the brother came to the home after not hearing from Hinojosa since they got together on Sunday.

Investigators say the door was locked but inside, the home had been ransacked. They say Hinojosa was either shot or stabbed. He was also tied up.

Neighbors who knew him say Hinojosa lived in the home alone, and was a good man who never made an enemy.

Jose Sanchez, a friend of the victim, said, "Please, we need to find out who did this because this guy, he was a really great guy, never bothered anybody."

Crime scene investigators spent most of the day at the home collecting evidence. Friends say he used to install surveillance cameras for a living, but it's unclear if there were cameras at his home, and if so, if they captured any evidence.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS. There is a $5,000 reward in the case.
