Deputies say the victim was going westbound down FM 529 at Fairview at around 10pm when for some reason he crashed into the side of the tanker as it was pulling out of a gas station. The man died at the scene.
The driver of the tanker truck was not injured. An investigation is underway to figure out who is at fault for the crash.
