Despite temperatures in the 30s, strong wind, and the threat of rain the ceremony honoring the life of former Presiden John F. Kennedy will go on as planned in Dallas.

Organizers say today's program was meticulously planned and will be presented in its entirety as long as there is no dangerous weather.

Fifty years ago today, President Kennedy was shot twice and killed in Dealey Plaza, the same place where 5,000 invited guests will honor his legacy just before noon today.

Planned speakers include the mayor of Dallas and historian David McCullough.

The ceremony will last from 12pm to 1pm and will it be available as a live stream on our mobile app..
