The chase began just before 1:30am on Cullen near Reed and lasted for about 20 minutes. The suspect led officers around Highway 288 before finally stopping on the 610 Loop near Wayside.
Police say this all started when officers saw the driver weaving in and out of traffic and tried to stop him. He refused to stop and, during his getaway, his female passenger jumped out of the vehicle when the driver stopped to make a turn.
She wasn't hurt, and she was eventually released.
The driver finally stopped. He will face evading arrest charges.
