How to get drunk without hangover - or even alcohol

LONDON, England

British researchers say they invented a drug that mimics the effects of being intoxicated. It targets neurotransmitters in the brain to create the pleasurable effects of drunkenness and it can quickly be reversed by taking an antidote.

That means you could have a bogus-boozy lunch and return to work or drive home.

Professor David Nutt said the discovery would lead to a revolution in health, doing for alcohol what the e-cigarette has done for smoking.

There's no word on when the invention could be readily available. Prof. Nutt is said to be seeking further funding.
