2 tiger cubs in San Antonio adjust to public life

SAN ANTONIO, TX

Zoo spokeswoman Debbie Vanskike (van-SKYK') on Tuesday said the female cubs have grown to about 25 pounds each. The cats were born Aug. 3 and went on display about a month ago.

Vanskike says naming rights to the endangered cubs will be auctioned during a Nov. 14 fundraising event.

She says the cubs have been bonding with their mother, a 6-year-old named Kemala. Vanskike says the cubs like to chase and jump on top of the first-time mom.

The father of the cubs, named Raguno, remains at the zoo but is not exhibited with the three females.
