"Operation Boo" was a Halloween event that didn't include costumes or candy, but law enforcement officials say it did get more than a dozen alleged criminals off of the streets.

The operation was a two-day prostitution sting on October 30 and 31, spearheaded by the Harris County Sheriff's Office in collaboration with the Humble Police Department.

According to officials, the sting targeted suspects who solicit and sell sex online.

Undercover deputies -- male and female -- posed as both prostitutes and sex solicitors online. Arrangements were made to meet at a hotel located near Highway 59 and FM 1960 in north Harris County.

In all, 14 men and women were arrested.
