Woman in her home nearly hit by out-of-control pickup truck in NW Harris Co.

HOUSTON

The driver somehow lost control of the vehicle while traveling along Bammel North Houston and Brookhead last night.

A mother and daughter were inside their house having a normal evening when neighbors described some screeching sound and suddenly a huge crash.

The truck crashed through a wooden fence, went across a neighbor's backyard and plowed through a brick wall of a house. The truck stopped just short of hitting a woman who was inside the house.

"It was probably like 7 inches away from her. It took the whole side of the house," said Adriana Miraz, the homeowner's daughter. "Thank goodness it didn't make it all the way through to the stove, because no telling what could have happened. I think it would have exploded."

No one was seriously hurt.

The cause of this crash is still under investigation. No word yet this morning on any charges against that driver.
