Shootout in pub parking lot wounds one man in southeast Houston

HOUSTON

The gunfire broke out around 2am at the Fox and Hound pub on the Gulf Freeway at Fuqua in southeast Houston.

Authorities say there were two groups of people in two cars in the parking lot, and one man in each car began arguing with one another.

According to investigators, both men pulled out guns and started shooting.

One man was hit three times -- once in the head and twice in the upper torso. He was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital where he underwent surgery. He is expected to survive, officials said.

The second shooter was taken into custody. No other injuries were reported.
