It's happening right now along the North Freeway at Greens Road. The HOV lane is completely shut down, and fire crews are blocking several lanes of the northbound side.
According to METRO, there were 41 people on the bus, including the driver. The driver reported smelling smoke, so he pulled over and everyone got off. Another bus was sent out to retrieve the passengers.
Your best bet is just to try to avoid the area altogether.
