Flyboarding is a heart pumping, gravity defying balancing act, performed atop a tower of water thrust from a personal watercraft.
"Flyboarding is literally an adrenaline rush," said Rodney Nelson with Extreme Watersports Galveston. "We're taking the power of this jet ski and putting it on the bottom of your feet."
It's a combination of surfing, snow and skateboarding. The flyboard was designed by international jet ski racer Franky Zapata in France during 2011, brought to the US in 2012. Nelson just opened a flight center and dealership here in Galveston.
"It's nothing like anything else anybody has ever done," Nelson said.
