The accident happened around 4:40pm.
No details have been released by officials, but SkyEye13 HD was overhead as the rider was loaded into an ambulance and taken to an area hospital.
It appears the motorcycle hit multiple barriers on the eastbound side of the North Sam Houston Parkway's eastbound exit to Imperial Valley.
Traffic backed up as investigators looked into the cause of the crash and crews worked to clear it for rush hour commuters.
