It happened on Hempstead near Tidwell. Officials say the officer was responding to a burglary call when for some reason he lost control. The cruiser struck another vehicle before coming to a stop in the ditch.
Two adults and a child were inside the other vehicle. Only the driver reported minor injuries. No one else was injured.
