The gunfire was exchanged between people in two vehicles at the store on East Crosstimbers near Bauman around 9pm.
When officers arrived, they found a man in his late teens or early 20s with gunshot wounds. The victim was rushed to the hospital, but was pronounced dead after he arrived.
Investigators say it all started at the convenience store, where two groups of people in two different cars started arguing.
"We believe the suspect got out of his vehicle and began firing at another vehicle," said Joshua Horn with the Houston Police Department homicide division. "We believe right now that we do have one male that is deceased as a result of the gunfire."
Police are still looking for the suspects. They're asking anyone with information about the shooting to give them a call.
